How to import a script from a document (Word, PDF, text)
In the editor, click "Import" (beside "Start" at the right end of the toolbar; on a phone it is the upload icon beside Start) and pick the file: a Word document (.docx), a PDF, or a text file (.txt or .md). The text is read in your browser, set up for the teleprompter (headings become section tags; lines that read as directions to you rather than words to say go in [square brackets], dimmed in the prompter and not expected to be spoken), and placed in the script in place of what was there. If the script had no title, the file name becomes one. When the set-up can't run, a note says so and the text still arrives as it was, so look it over before you read.
Or paste: copy the text from your document (Google Docs, Notion, anywhere) and paste it into the editor. Plain text is best: bold, italic, strikethrough, and yellow/green highlights are kept as visual formatting; lists, links, and tables don't survive. When you paste a whole script, the editor offers to sort its notes from its speech the same way.
To mark sections yourself, start a heading line with "## " (or use the "Tags" menu in the editor toolbar). Text in [square brackets] is a stage direction: dimmed in the prompter and ignored by voice tracking.
