How the script editor works (saving, formatting, markers)

Open a script from the dashboard. Everything auto-saves about a third of a second after you stop typing, and Ctrl/Cmd+S saves immediately; the header shows "Saved" or "Saving…". The arrow at the top left goes back to your scripts; "Start" at the right end of the toolbar opens the prompter (the toolbar stays at the top of the screen as you scroll).

Toolbar: Undo/Redo, Bold, Italic, Strikethrough (still spoken in voice mode), Highlight yellow/green (visual only), "Direction" (turns the selection into a [bracketed] cue that the prompter dims and voice tracking ignores), the "Tags" menu ("Tag this line", or insert a marker: Hook, Intro, Main Point, Example, Story, CTA, Outro, B-Roll Note, or "Custom…"), "Tag with AI", the "{n}/8 structure" chip, "Coach", and "Tag type".

Markers are lines that start with "## ". They show as amber headings in the prompter, aren't read by voice tracking, and are what "Hey Fox, next section" and the ← → keys jump between. Under the title there's a field to paste the video's YouTube link once it's published.

Still stuck?

Two ways to a person. Both are read by Tyler, who built ScriptFox.

Fox is the chat bubble at the bottom right of every page once you are signed in. It answers from these same pages and hands you to a person when it can't.
