How do I put my script into ScriptFox and read it on the teleprompter?
Step by step, from the dashboard to reading aloud:
- 1Open the editor: on the dashboard ("Scripts" in the sidebar) click "+ New script" in the top right. You land in the editor on an empty page.
- 2Put your script in: paste it (Ctrl+V, or Cmd+V on a Mac) or type it straight into the page where it says "Paste or type your script here…". Paragraphs and line breaks are kept.
- 3Give it a name: click the title at the top (it starts as "Untitled") and type one, so you can find it in your library later.
- 4Click "Start" at the right end of the editor's toolbar (the toolbar stays at the top of the screen as you scroll). It opens the teleprompter on this script.
- 5Read aloud: allow the microphone when the browser asks, then just start reading. The words scroll to follow your voice; pause and it waits, skip ahead and it catches up.
Already have the script in a document? Copy it there and paste it in step 2 (the text is kept, the formatting is not), or click "Import" beside Start to bring in a Word document, PDF or text file. Every script in "Scripts" opens in the editor with its own "Start" button. The same script is in the ScriptFox phone app once you sign in with the same account.
