What can the mobile app do?

iPhone & iPadAndroid

The phone app (the same app on iPhone, iPad and Android) is a camera teleprompter: your script floats over the front camera so you read while filming.

  • "Scripts" tab: your synced scripts (+ to write one, search, folder chips). Tap a script to open the prompter.
  • In the prompter: drag to scroll, tap any word to jump tracking there, "Restart", the round record button, and the mic button that switches between "Rehearse" (tracking off) and "Tracking" (green, tracking on). Voice tracking uses the same engine as the web.
  • The sliders icon opens the "Overlay" sheet: Size, Width, Transparency, Reading line, Text size, Reading speed (WPM, synced from the web), Voice tracking strength, "Mirror text" for beam-splitter glass, Video quality (720p / 1080p / 2160p), and on iPad "Rig mode" (camera off, full-screen script on black for teleprompter hardware).
  • Recording saves video and audio to your phone's gallery in a "ScriptFox" album (the overlay never appears in the video); the "Recordings" tab lists and plays them. Nothing is uploaded.

Not on mobile: "Hey Fox" voice commands, the AI writing partner, analytics, and teams; those are web features. Subscriptions are managed on the website's Plan & billing page, and the app follows your account's plan. iPhone stays in portrait; iPad can rotate.

Still stuck?

Two ways to a person. Both are read by Tyler, who built ScriptFox.

Fox is the chat bubble at the bottom right of every page once you are signed in. It answers from these same pages and hands you to a person when it can't.
