How to use voice commands ("Hey Fox")

"Hey Fox" works inside the prompter only, while a script is open for reading. Say "Hey Fox", then the command; the Fox orb (bottom right) grows while it listens. Or click the orb and just say the command. Natural phrasing works; these are the commands:

  • "start the prompter" / "pause" / "resume"
  • "start over" (back to the top and go), "restart this section", "next section"
  • "go back one sentence", "back one paragraph", "go forward one section", "forward ten words"
  • "go to point two", "jump to the hook", "skip to the outro" (any marker name)
  • "faster" / "slower" (10 WPM steps), "set WPM to 120"
  • "start a recording" / "stop recording"
  • "switch to pace mode" / "switch to voice mode"
  • "open call mode" (the floating window), "director mode" (Team)
  • "cancel" / "never mind"

Chain two with "and" or "then": "start the recording and start the prompter". "Section", "paragraph", and "block" mean the same thing. A short toast confirms each command; "Didn't catch that" means it didn't understand. The wake word runs on your device.

Still stuck?

Two ways to a person. Both are read by Tyler, who built ScriptFox.

Fox is the chat bubble at the bottom right of every page once you are signed in. It answers from these same pages and hands you to a person when it can't.
