Why is my analytics / retention overlay empty?

The Analytics view names the missing piece:

• "Link a YouTube video to unlock retention analytics": paste the video's link in the editor or the script's three-dot menu.
• "Add a read or a transcript to unlock retention analytics": read the script once in the prompter's Voice mode (with Settings → "Learn from my sessions" on), or use "Upload transcript" / "paste" on this page. A Pace-mode read doesn't count, and a very short test read isn't saved.
• "Retention data is still processing": YouTube needs 24–48 hours after publish. Check back tomorrow.

If none of those show but the chart is still empty, the video's stats were fetched before its length was known: wait for the nightly refresh, or remove and re-link the video. If public views show but retention stays at zero, the video may be on a brand or secondary channel rather than the connected account's primary channel.
