How to get the Windows desktop app

Account menu → "Desktop app" → "Download for Windows" (Windows 10/11, 64-bit; it installs for your user, so normally no admin prompt). The first time, Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the installer isn't code-signed yet: click "More info" → "Run anyway". Sign in with your normal ScriptFox account: it's the same web app plus the desktop-only parts (the Call Mode overlay, the screen recorder, the Studio editor, a tray icon, and global hotkeys).

Updates: the app checks shortly after launch, downloads in the background, and shows "Update ready" with "Restart & update now" / "Later" (Later installs when you next quit normally). Check by hand from the account menu → "Check for updates" or the tray icon → "Check for updates…", which also shows your version. There's no macOS build yet; the web app works on Mac.

Checked against the app on September 15, 2026.

Two ways to a person. Both are read by Tyler, who built ScriptFox.

Fox is the chat bubble at the bottom right of every page once you are signed in. It answers from these same pages and hands you to a person when it can't.
